Amazon’s Prime Now launched in Austin

Amazon announced that it has expanded Prime Now, its same-day delivery service, to Austin, US. The ultra-fast service offers one-hour delivery on tens of thousands of daily essentials through a mobile app.

“A few of the most popular items delivered through Prime Now in Texas since we launched in Dallas are Campbell’s Soup, bottled water and organic iced tea,” said Dave Clark, Amazon’s Senior Vice President of worldwide operations. “We know customers in Austin will love the opportunity to skip a trip to the store and get items delivered right to their door in under an hour.”

Prime Now is launching in select Austin zip codes and there are plans to expand to additional zip codes across the city. All Prime members can download the Prime Now app, available on iOS and Android devices, and will be notified when the service is available in their local area. In Austin, Prime Now is available from 8 am to midnight, seven days a week.
