Yusen Logistics has announced that Casio UK has renewed its contract for its total UK supply chain operation. Under the contract Yusen will continue to handle the company’s full range of products destined for both the consumer and business markets, which includes digital pianos, cash registers, watches, calculators and digital projectors.
Yusen Logistics has been working with Casio for over 20 years, partnering the company through periods of fundamental change and re-engineering the supply chain in line with changing business objectives.
The Casio operation includes inbound container planning, customs clearance and delivery from port, warehousing and a range of value-added services based at Yusen Logistics’ distribution centres in the Milton Keynes area.
Peter Yates, Director of UK operations at Casio commented, “I truly believe this is the right decision by all within the Casio group as Yusen have demonstrated over the past 20 years of our association that they are a reliable and knowledgeable organisation that has helped Casio UK maintain and grow its market share in the UK over this lengthy period.”
Further to the success of this longstanding UK operation, Yusen Logistics has commenced operations for Casio in Brazil, with members of the Brazilian team visiting the UK operation to ensure best practice transfer.
