Norbert Dentressangle wins Missguided fulfilment contract

Missguided, an online fashion retailer, announced that it has signed a seven year deal with Norbert Dentressangle to manage its international e-fulfilment operation. Under the new contract, Norbert Dentressangle and Missguided are jointly investing in a new, purpose-built fulfilment centre in Manchester, UK, replacing Missguided’s existing facility in Salford, UK.

Missguided has websites serving the UK, US, France and Australia and is planning further geographical expansion. The retailer targets 16-34 year old female consumers and claims to have achieved a 71% increase in sales over the six months to February 2015.

Norbert Dentressangle will take over the running of Missguided’s existing fulfilment centre, including the transfer of more than 250 staff currently employed by Missguided. Norbert Dentressangle will be responsible for all activities within the centre, including the receipt of goods from Missguided’s suppliers, order picking, marshalling, packing, despatch and returns management.

The new facility is expected to be operational by mid-2016. The 250,000 sq ft facility has been designed with a mezzanine floor which is expected to provide total floor space in excess of 1m sq ft, more than five times the size of the current facility.
