DB Schenker Logistics to open perishables handling facility at London Heathrow

DB Schenker Logistics UK has announced that it will open a new perishables handling facility within its air freight hub at London Heathrow Airport in the UK.

The 11,000 sq ft temperature-controlled facility has a number of features designed to improve handling processes, adding efficiency and value to their perishables customers supply chain. The facility has cross-dock capability, eliminates contamination exposure, reduced manual handling and will be operational 24/7.

Helgi Ingolfsson, CEO of DB Schenker Logistics in the UK said, “I have high hopes for this ultra-modern facility as an addition to our already existing air freight hub. This will help us to become one of the premier logistics services providers in this sector and offer many benefits and integrated solutions for our customers supply chain.”
