Thomas Lieb resigns as Chairman and leaves Schenker AG


Schenker AG has announced that Thomas Lieb, Chairman of the Management Board, will leave the company effective March 31, 2015. He has now resigned from his position as Head of Business Unit DB Schenker Logistics and as Chairman of Management Board of Schenker AG. Lieb and DB group decided this by best mutual agreement.

Karl-Friedrich Rausch, the Member of the Management Board of DB Mobility Logistics AG responsible for Transportation and Logistics said, “He [Thomas Lieb] achieved a lot for DB Schenker. Under his leadership the Business Unit DB Schenker Logistics enlarged its global network to 2000 locations in more than 140 countries and became a leading provider of global transportation and logistics solutions.”

Until a decision about Lieb’s succession is made, Lutz Freytag, the Member of the Management Board of Schenker AG for Finance/ Controlling, will take over the position as Chairman of the Management Board of Schenker AG on an interim basis.
