CaroTrans launches Asia to south east US LCL import service

CaroTrans, a global NVOCC and ocean freight consolidator, has announced the launch of an all-water LCL import service from Shanghai, China, to Atlanta, US, via the Port of Savannah. The service will have a 32-day transit time.

Freight will be deconsolidated at CaroTrans’ Atlanta container freight station for timely cargo availability. Expedited distribution services are available to the US states of Alabama, Georgia, North and South Carolina, Florida and Tennessee.

“We continuously adjust our global network to respond to customer demand. With this new Shanghai to Atlanta service, we provide customers with an important alternative to congested US West Coast gateways. This service is our 67th direct Asia to US import service,” said Greg Howard, Chief Executive Officer of CaroTrans.
