Yusen Logistics’ subsidiary opens strategic warehouse in Malaysia


TASCO Berhad, a Yusen Logistics subsidiary in Malaysia, announced that it has opened and commenced operations of a warehouse in Tanjung Pelepas, a port in the south of Malaysia.

The 200,000 sq ft warehouse is expected to strengthen Yusen Logistics’ presence in the region by providing logistics services for the electronic and electrical equipment industries, as well as general consumer goods.

The warehouse will offer a variety of services, including loading/ unloading, inventory storage, processing for distribution and delivery management. In the Free Zone area of the Port of Tanjung Pelepas, the warehouse will provide services that take advantage of the unique features of the area, including non-resident goods storage and cross-border transportation to Singapore.

In addition to utilizing the warehouse to support various logistic needs for both Japanese and non-Japanese companies, the warehouse is expected to serve as a hub of the ASEAN region that provides one-stop integrated services that connects forwarding and customs clearance.
