Pentalver, a UK inland container service operator, has announced plans to develop a permanent container depot at DP World London Gateway, a UK port.
Having opened for business in temporary premises at DP World London Gateway in April 2014, Pentalver’s new depot will see the company initially operating out of a purpose-built five acre site. The company states that there is additional land available to accommodate future growth and plans to expand to nine acres within the first five years.
Phase one of the development, scheduled to open in Spring 2015, is expected to enable Pentalver to offer services to vessels discharging at DP World London Gateway, including cargo handling, transport, loaded storage, empty storage, reefer services, maintenance and container refurbishment.
Chris Lawrenson, Managing Director of Pentalver said, “Our DP World London Gateway operation has gone from strength-to-strength since opening our temporary site in April last year. The new London Gateway operation will bolster the services we offer at our existing dockside depots and inland facility.”
