Yusen Logistics expands Sydney operations


Yusen Logistics Australia has announced that it plans to open its sixth Sydney, Australia, warehousing facility in January 2015. The new warehouse, which is dedicated to a US retailer, consists of 12,500 sq m and will comprise 18,500 pallet locations.

Yusen Logistics Australia’s Managing Director, Ian Pemberton said, “This additional facility continues the expansion of our portfolio in line with our three year growth strategy, and demonstrates our commitment to increase the range of international clients to whom we provide supply chain solutions. The capital investment is in excess of AU$2m and the facility will employ an additional 25 Yusen staff.”

Yusen Logistics Australia has been operating as a provider of supply chain and transport solutions for 26 years in Australia and had revenues of AU$125m in 2014. The company has 12 offices throughout Australia with 420 staff providing international freight forwarding, in-house customs clearance and contract logistics services.
