Lineage Logistics, a US 3PL backed by the investment company Bay Grove, announced that it has acquired Columbia Colstor, a US cold chain 3PL. With the acquisition of Columbia, Lineage doubles its leading presence in the Pacific Northwest to 11 locations which increases storage capacity and value-added services for its customers. With the acquisition Lineage’s US footprint now reaches over 600m cu ft across 111 facilities. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Columbia Colstar has over 52m cu ft of temperature-controlled storage capacity. Its network is located in the east of Washington State in the US which is an agricultural region. Across its network Columbia Colstar serves customers processing of potatoes, fruits, and other vegetables grown in the Columbia Basin as well as seafood customers near the western Washington and Oregon border.
