The members of the G6 Allinace have announced their winter programme for Asia-US east coast sailings in response to seasonal changes in market demand. The G6 Alliance is a shipping alliance between APL, Hapag-Lloyd, Hyundai Merchant Marine, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Nippon Yusen Kaisha and Orient Overseas Container Line.
The G6 Alliance winter programme will combine the existing NYE and SCE services to provide the following port rotation:
Xiamen – Kaohsiung – Hong Kong – Yantian – Shanghai, China; – Pusan, South Korea; – Panama Canal, Panama; – Manzanillo, Mexico; – Kingston, Jamaica; – Savannah – Charleston – New York – Norfolk – Jacksonville, US; – Kingston – Manzanillo – Panama Canal – Balboa, Panama; – Pusan – Xiamen.
The first sailing of the combined service will be undertaken by the Hyundai Glory 064E.
The G6 Alliance stated that it continues to offer a variety of services between Asia and the North American east coast, covering all major port pairs with weekly sailings. It also stated that it would continue to make service adjustments where necessary.
